Using the Bid Pipeline
Move opportunities through stages from Identified to Won. Stages are customizable; the hidden semantic category drives reporting.
The short answer
The Pipeline is a Kanban of your active bids. The 8 default stages run Identified → Qualifying → Pursuing → Bid/No-Bid → Proposal → Submitted → Awarded → Won (with Lost as an outcome). You can rename or reorder stages per account — the hidden semantic category behind each stage keeps reporting consistent no matter what you call them.
The default stages
- Identified — surfaced by the feed, not yet decided.
- Qualifying — early triage, gathering intel.
- Pursuing — committed to work the deal.
- Bid/No-Bid — decision gate.
- Proposal — writing.
- Submitted — response in.
- Awarded — decision announced.
- Won — booked. Log Lost as the alternative outcome.
Customizing without breaking reports
Rename stages to match how your BD team actually talks. Each stage keeps a hidden semantic category (identified, pursuing, proposal, submitted, awarded, won, lost) so win rates, cycle time, and pipeline value roll up correctly even if you renamed 'Pursuing' to 'Chasing.'
Logging outcomes
Log every win and every loss. The pipeline is the record of what actually happened — it is also the input to a Team-tier win/loss loop that sharpens future scoring.
